14th and 15th of July, 2007 was a historical date in the annals of Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) astrology. The first ever international summit in the field of KP astrology was held on these dates in the Administrative Staff College of the JNT University in Hyderabad under the aegis of the KP Astrologers’ Forum, India.

The KPAIS, 2007 was over subscribed in the first place, where hundreds of spot delegates’ request for a seat was turned down since the hall was full to its capacity. The Summit had delegates from all parts of India and a few members from abroad too. Many of the dignitaries present in the Summit were direct disciples of late Prof. K. S. Krishnamurti who shared their beautiful experiences with the Maestro and certain secrets of prediction.

In the first day of the Summit, the delegates heard stalwarts in the field of astrology like Sri Suresh Sahasane of Mumbai on Profession and Business, MST and TSP techniques by Sri Kanak Bosmia of Ahmedabad, and 4 Step Theory by Sri Sunil Gondhalekar. But all these started with a vigorous Primer on KP by the President of KPAF, Shi Rajendra N. Nimje which was well received by one and all. The first day ended with a highly interactive panel discussion on the role of Nodes and retrograde planets in KP where the speakers of the day and the session chair persons formed the panel of experts. In the evening, a thrilling sitar performance kept all the delegates spellbound for hours, which was performed by artistes of the Dept. of Culture, AP.

The second day had more value and knowledge for the delegates than was expected by them. Sri G. V. K. Rao of Hyderabad conducted a session on medical astrology, which was an eye opener for even some professionals in the field. This was followed by a session on Educational prospects through KP by Sri Sahasane and the importance of sub-sub lords was beautifully elucidated. Thereafter, Sri Vinayak Agte of Mumbai showed all the delegates how Stock market can be predicted with the help of KP. Finally, the panel discussion focused on Ruling planets as the master key in KP.

Dignitaries and stalwarts in the filed of astrology, both KP and traditional were felicitated by the KPAF. These included Sri V.B. N. Sarma, one of the direct students of Sri KSK and a patron of KPAF, Sri A. V. Sundaram, ICAS and the invited speakers. A Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Sri R. N. Acharya, Founder, Kadambi Booksellers for his lifelong support to astrology and astrologers and was conferred the title ‘Jyotisha Bandhu’

It was found that all the delegates, unanimously and unequivocally were praising the efforts of the organizing committee members. But kudos is surely due to the founder members Sri Rajendra N. Nimje, President, KPAF and his friend Dr. V. V. K. Mohan, Secretary, KPAF along with the Dr. Andrew Dutta, Vice-President, KPAF who gave a historical milestone in the field of KP by organizing such international level summit. All the 50 odd regular members of the KPAF gave in the best of their efforts to pull off this event. The Summit paved the way for an international level interaction on KP astrology first time ever and was one of the most successful technical get together of the field till date.
